Our Story

Our journey has been anything but ordinary. After our last child graduated from college, we did what many empty nesters do, we looked around and asked, What’s next? We had enjoyed our home in a gated golf-course community, but we felt the itch to try something a little more adventurous.

Sharon grew up riding horses and even competed in barrel racing, participating in many Texas county rodeos and even performing in the Astrodome during the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. She had always wanted a horse or several and that’s where the journey truly began.

We found a 25-acre property right on the Brazos River, not far from where we lived. It was overgrown, snake infested, and cluttered with trash and old farm equipment. We moved from our 4,000-square-foot home into a fifth wheel trailer while we redesigned and rebuilt a run down 1950s cottage on the property.

Fast-forward to today, and we’re just putting the finishing touches on our beautiful new barn. We have big plans ahead, so stay tuned, follow along, and be a part of the journey.
